Orchard and Winery Tour

Your blueberry winery tour commences on arrival where you will be met by our friendly staff with Blueberry Tea and a muffin before being escorted to our "air conditioned" people carrier that will whisk you off into the blueberry orchard. Spend time discovering the story behind Mamaku Blue and learn the steps involved in getting the blueberry from the bush to the market. From the orchard you will visit the sorting and packaging shed, here you will learn the intricacies of the export blueberry market and some of the steps that make Mamaku Blue berries so special. Your wine tour will then proceed on through to the wine making department, have a chat to the wine maker and learn about blueberry wines. From there it is back on to the people carrier to be delivered to the specialised blueberry retail shop and café. Here you can purchase a wide range of blueberry products and enjoy one of the chefs' delicacies such as a hot blueberry pie or muffin with your choice of Dilmah tea or freshly brewed coffee. If time permits, stay a little longer and enjoy a special blueberry lunch. On wet days visit our Function Room and browse through the memorabilia of Mamaku in our museum. Sing along to the Pianola or just enjoy the Views. Additional to our orchard and winery tours, the Mamaku Blue property has native bush walks and farm tours. In conjunction with our tours we also have available a selection of other interesting attractions in the district that can be visited to make a full and relaxing day of discovery. Bring your own bike for paddock riding or try our Nordic Pole Walking Experience.
Our basic orchard / winery and tastings tour takes approximately 60 minutes (depending if you have alot of questions or not) and can be taylored around your budget and time restraints. A range of catering options is available for your morning / afternoon teas, lunches or dinners. We are happy to help you plan a special day out to fit in with your itinerary.
