Guided Tours

You will be met on arrival by our friendly tour guide. We have our “air-conditioned” people carrier available or you can choose a walking tour. We will share the story behind MAMAKU BLUE’s development and you can learn some of the steps involved in getting the blueberries from the bushes to the markets of the world.

We are proud of our efforts to save the planet, being Spray Free, recycling, reusing, and restoring nature's gifts. We encourage bees, and bumblebees to live in our orchard to pollinate our plants and we reward them with as much nectar as they could possibly drink.

On your return to the Blueberry retail shop and cafe, you are welcome to browse Mamaku Blue’s extensive range of blueberry products with complimentary tastings of our juice, wine, liqueur, and products. We invite you to enjoy one of our blueberry treats from the café Menu Board. Taste the difference.

In conjunction with MAMAKU BLUE tours, we also have available a selection of other interesting local attractions in the district to make a full and relaxed day of discovery. We are happy to help you plan a special day out - so savour and enjoy your visit. Fill up on antioxidants.

Remember we are 600 meters above sea level and occasionally a little cooler. Berries like the cool. Maybe you should bring a coat.

Enjoy a taste experience every day when you visit our Blueberry Cafe.

Take a break, relax and choose an exclusive homemade blueberry treat from our menu selection. Why not spoil yourself and try our specialty Venison and Blueberry Pie, Blueberry Muffin or Pie, Pancakes, Crepes, and Blueberry Ice Cream Sundaes, all are packed full of blueberries. Or even just some delicious berry jam and toast with a blueberry tea.

These are just a few of the selections in ‘The Blueberry Cafe.’ Only 20 mins north of Rotorua.

We also offer have traditional English-Green gooseberries. A special treat for those of you who remember Grandma’s Gooseberry Pie. Take a trip down memory lane while you bite into one of our Gooseberry Pies or a Gooseberry and Cream Cheese Muffin, or sip on our Sparkling Golden Gooseberry Wine.

Indulge yourself in our Real Fruit Soft Serve Ice Cream. There is no need to hurry, relax and enjoy the view from the Blueberry Cafe patio, soak up the rural atmosphere, or watch the donkeys, sheep, lambs, and cattle grazing free in the open country side.
